Everyone needs exercise, and this is just as true for children as it is for adults. Fortunately, children generally enjoy exercising, especially if it is done in the form of play, which you will find they do most of the time without provocation anyway. But if you are having a hard time getting your children to exercise, you might find that it is necessary to get them involved in some kind of formal activity, such as taking them to summer swim lessons for kids or getting them to be part of a local sports club. Do that, and they will definitely be exercising as much as they need to. Another tip is to hide their tablets, X Box controllers & the remote control to the TV.
This is one area where you will generally have quite a lot of control. Of course, you should aim for them to eat a decent amount, and to have a balanced diet. If I left it up to my kids, they would live on chicken nuggets. Try to make sure that they are eating as few processed foods as possible, including sweets and snacks. If you can start them off without getting addicted to sugary food & drinks, you will find it much more likely that they continue down that same path in adulthood, so you are essentially ensuring that they are going to have a healthier life on the whole. Getting their diet right is one of the earliest things to do if you want your children to be as healthy as possible.
We tend to think of stress as a wholly adult affair, but children are just as prone to becoming stressed as us, and it is a good idea to make sure that you are doing whatever you can to keep their stress as low as possible. You might even want to encourage them to learn how to practise mindfulness; control their breathing & focus on the present, as this is a great way to make sure that they are keeping calm. That will then result in a much more stress-free existence, and you will be equipping them with the ability to be stress-free in adulthood too.
